Position Summary

Support department and/or line of business system needs. Identify and implement process and system improvements, manage communications, coordinate and deliver trainings for essential business procedures/processes, and drive development of new resources and tools.

The Business Operations Specialist, Expert (Organizational Effectiveness) will work on the Nuclear Strategy, Policy, and Organizational Effectiveness team at DCPP, responsible for all aspects of organizational effectiveness in light of continued DCPP operations. This includes leading initiatives in various subject areas, monitoring and measuring effectiveness, and providing cross-functional support in improving organizational performance.

To obtain and maintain employment and unescorted access at DCPP, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, a security background check, psychological screen, computer-based training, and be subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $104,000
California Maximum: $166,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and foster organizational effectiveness initiatives and strategy, including aspects such as Lean implementation/excellence, corporate alignment, change management, communications, employee engagement, workforce planning, knowledge management/transfer, succession and development planning, leadership development, workforce proficiency, etc.
  • Use system and personnel resources to successfully address inquiries from internal business partners
  • Develop internal work procedures and initiate process improvements
  • Develop and manage trainings to enhance knowledge and job skills
  • Assist Management with the leadership of key department initiatives such as system development, training and focused campaigns/initiatives
  • Support organization as a subject matter expert by providing information and direction to resources through various delivery channels
  • Research and data analysis; compile and prepare reports for upper management
  • Provide direction and coaching to other team members.
  • Participate on cross functional teams
  • May serve as a team lead
  • Manage communications
  • Liaison between various departments and cross functional teams
  • Influence decisions, providing recommendations for change that will lead to the success of company goals and cost effectiveness

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 8 years
  • Valid CA drivers license required

Desired:

  • Graduate Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
