The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Build Release Engineer to join our team of engineers in working closely with our partners to support DoD product software development across the F/A-18 & EA-18G Mission Systems Environment located in Berkeley, MO.

We seek candidates who have proven skills in the build and release of large-scale software development. This position will place you in a role where you have the opportunity to coordinate, document, and enhance the F/A-18 & EA-18G Mission Systems products and implementations. You will oversee and ensure timely software releases for our DoD customer.

Position responsibilities:

  • Support a comprehensive Build Schedule Plan across standard/planned builds and ad hoc requested builds
  • Design, development, deployment, and maintenance of build and release paths to support product software development
  • Collaborating closely with our development teams to ensure cost-effective, timely, and secure build/releases of the software
  • Interfacing with development groups across the F/A-18 & EA-18G program in the planning and deployment of software factories and other toolchains and components
  • Interfacing and collaborating with programs across Air Dominance during planning and implementation stages to ensure knowledge sharing and commonality where applicable across platforms
  • Present progress information at release and readiness reviews
  • Ensure consistent build & release processes are followed to streamline the

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Onsite 3 days a week is required for this position.

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
  • Experience with C++ software development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Secret US Security Clearance
  • Experience with C# software development
  • Previous experience with release planning and builds processes for large applications
  • Experience in software development, systems engineering, or integration and test experience with mission systems on tactical platforms
  • Strong Working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools
  • Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a fast paced, agile work environment
  • Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset
  • Understanding of security frameworks such as DoD RMF, CMMC, DFARS, and FedRAMP

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel:

Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Experienced: $104,550.00 – $141,450.00
