Overview

Assist the Events Department in supervising event staff and fostering a safe and enjoyable environment to all Ralston Arena team members.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $13-$14.

For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-of management of the front of house team members including ticket takers, ushers, and peer security
  • Effectively communicate individual duties to staff in pre-event briefings, and continually monitor staff performance providing guidance when needed
  • Enforce all venue policies and attend to guest issues
  • Responsible for maintaining crowd control initiatives
  • Provide positive and friendly experience to all customers
  • Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients
  • Respond to any emergency that may arise in the building or on premises and provide thorough documentation of incidents
  • Provide support and motivation to subordinates to meet the highest level of customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in an event or security supervision role preferred
  • Must be highly organized and able to delegate responsibilities to increase operational efficiency
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and provide creative on-the-spot solutions to challenges
  • Must be able to assess team member performance to assign job functions that best meet their strengths
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of team
  • Must possess excellent written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
