Overview
Assist the Events Department in supervising event staff and fostering a safe and enjoyable environment to all Ralston Arena team members.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $13-$14.
For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.
Responsibilities
- Assist in day-of management of the front of house team members including ticket takers, ushers, and peer security
- Effectively communicate individual duties to staff in pre-event briefings, and continually monitor staff performance providing guidance when needed
- Enforce all venue policies and attend to guest issues
- Responsible for maintaining crowd control initiatives
- Provide positive and friendly experience to all customers
- Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients
- Respond to any emergency that may arise in the building or on premises and provide thorough documentation of incidents
- Provide support and motivation to subordinates to meet the highest level of customer service
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in an event or security supervision role preferred
- Must be highly organized and able to delegate responsibilities to increase operational efficiency
- Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and provide creative on-the-spot solutions to challenges
- Must be able to assess team member performance to assign job functions that best meet their strengths
- Ability to work both independently and as part of team
- Must possess excellent written communication skills
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
