Manager, Workpartners Operations (Remote))

Description

UPMC Health Plan and Workpartners is seeking someone who is both technical and managerial minded with experience with organizational change. This person will lead the Advocacy and Employee Health line of business. The selected individual will be responsible for managing the team, implementing process improvements, and working with our operations partners on their day-to-day strategic projects and priorities.

This position is responsible for executing on the day-to-day strategic initiatives inside of the Workpartners business unit, as well as driving forward process improvement. The Manager, Workpartners Operations provides direction and leadership to a diverse team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Operations Coordinators and Systems Analysts. The Manager and his/her team maintain clear lines of communication with business unit owners and Workpartners executive leadership. The Manager, Workpartners Operations will be responsible for establishing timelines and resource plans for projects, patches, and hot fixes. A solid technical foundation is necessary, as many initiatives require enhancing/developing new technologies to achieve optimal business goals. Additionally, the Manager, Workpartners Operations role doesn’t settle for the status quo. S/he seeks to drive process improvement and positive change across the team by relying on knowledge of industry best-practices and applying them where relevant.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor requirements for the features of various platforms, equipment, and productivity tools. Develop and implement plans to address requirements, including recruitment of talented staff, development of individual and team objectives.
  • Ensure documentation, processes, and procedures are maintained and updated in order to support Incentive department functions and improve efficiencies.
  • Ensure quality and integrity of corporate data through routine monitoring and route cause analysis.
  • Ensure security of electronically published corporate data. Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provide customer-oriented service to our customer community and our members, groups and partners. Provide service according to the expectations of UPMC PRIIDES values.
  • Drive collaboration within the assigned team, as well as collaborate with the Workpartners leadership team, to design and implement solutions in support of Workpartners goals.
  • Establish yearly performance goals in conjunction with the objectives of the Workpartners business area, and serve as an inspiring leader of the team, helping them to achieve their career goals through frequent coaching and mentoring, and by providing on-the-job training and growth opportunities.
  • Manage a team of individual contributors comprised of System Analysts, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Technology,
  • ..With a minimum of seven(7) years of experience in Business Technology
  • Preferred is a mix of technical experience working with databases, project management experience, some history of personnel management, and a track record of working teams through organizational change
  • Strong project management, problem solving, organizational, relationship, communication, and negotiation skills (oral and written) are required
  • Ability to play an active role in designing and implementing best practices plans and processes to address opportunities, challenges, and customer satisfaction improvements.
  • Continuously monitor for potential improvements and have a proven track record of acting on them.
  • Familiarity with systems development methodologies, Agile project methods, project management, structured design, and programming concepts is required.
  • Fluent with SQL, Excel, and Word & Familiar with SSIS
