Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Entry LevelBrake Control and Monitoring Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team supporting the 777X program in Everett, Washington.

This position within Mechanical/Hydraulic Systems includes supporting development and certification of brake systems for the 777-9 passenger airplane and the 777-8F freighter.

Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with others in a team environment. Ability to apply sound engineering fundamentals and judgment. Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required in Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support development of brake system requirements and definition of system architecture
  • Development and testing of brake system control software and associated interface specifications
  • Ownership of component level design requirements
  • Analyze system performance through modeling and simulation
  • Perform system safety analysis and development assurance processes
  • Support the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups
  • Perform and document analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  • Work with a worldwide supplier base to develop and implement system hardware, electronics, and software. Contribute to supplier development, design reviews, test and production activities and direct the supplier to optimize integration
  • Develop, verify, validate, and certify designs through both laboratory and airplane testing

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in data science, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics, computer science or engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Prior internship experience

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range: $69,700 – $94,300
