How You’ll Make A Difference:

  • Fabricate, install, maintain and repair pneumatic and electrical animatronic systems and special effects for events and park shows.
  • Read, understand and implement plans and blueprints.
  • Strike and properly store all show elements.
  • Accurately cut/machine/weld/fabricate metal and other building materials.
  • Layout and construct electrical, electronic, and pneumatic control systems.
  • Operate electric carts, forklifts, mast lifts, scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.

We’re Looking For:

Education

Vocational School Welding or mechanical/metal fabrication

Experience

1 – 2 Years Related Experience Welding or mechanical/metalfabrication

Minimum Age

At Least 18 Years of Age

  • Ability to fabricate and assemble mechanical parts/structures according to drawings, sketches, and plans.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic actuators, electric motors, and animatronics.
  • Proficiency with MIG/TIG welding. Desired but not required
  • Required proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with I/O control devices and PLC control systems.
  • Practical use of solenoids, contactors, switches, and relays.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
