Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid and Senior Level Engineering Technical Specialists to become part of the BGS Engineering Practices and Process team in Ridley Park, PA or at one of the listed location options: (Berkeley, MO, Houston, TX, Huntsville, AL, Jacksonville, FL, Oklahoma City, OK, Philadelphia, PA, Plano, TX or San Antonio, TX ).

The ideal candidate will help architect the overall vision planning and road-mapping for process management architecture within BGS engineering. This position reports to the BGS Engineering Practices and Processes leader.

The candidate will be involved in the development of process architecture methodologies across BGS engineering and must have a broad technical background with preferred experience in the Product Support function and well as knowledge of enterprise and engineering policies, procedures, and processes (highly desired).

The candidate needs strong technical leadership, analytical skills and excellent communication skills. The candidate will need to collaborate and communicate at different levels in the organization such as technical personnel and business leaders. This role will drive process improvements across the organizational boundaries to accomplish BGS engineering business objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities may include (these include day-to-day activities and projects):

  • Partner with Product Support functional chief engineering office, product support SMEs and engineering leaders across BGS to understand the business needs within engineering related to command media (PROs, BPIs, supplemental documents) to align to the One Boeing capability map.
  • Develop, document, implement and provide consultation on the application of process writings applicable to BGS engineering in coordination with product support functional SMEs.
  • Create and execute a process management roadmap across BGS engineering by working closely with engineering leaders within BGS engineering on execution areas such as MBSE (model-based engineering), and process management and the product support elements.
  • Develop, document, implement and provide consultation on the application of process writings in coordination with engineering organization for the product support function.
  • Provide aid to support the development, documentation, implementation and basic consultation on the application of engineering tools, processes and standards.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of processes improvements and initiatives such as product standards and vocabulary services for BGS engineering capability teams.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the utilization of processes and the integration of engineering requirements.
  • Produce reports and presentations that highlight upcoming process management deliverables and initiatives. Collects, analyzes and validates engineering performance metrics
  • Works under minimal direction, consults with leadership to ensure appropriate viability of key process initiatives.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and work experience.
  • 5+ years’ work experience in a technical discipline such as engineering, math, or technology.
  • 3+ years’ work experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools.
  • 5+ years’ work experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions.
  • 1+ years’ work experience in leading cross-functional and/or project teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 + years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading through influence.
  • Experience in developing and managing processes and metrics.
  • Experience with RIOs and Lean.

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Senior-Level:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years’ related work experience, 14 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Mid-Level Summary pay range: $56,950 – $113,850

Lead-Level Summary pay range: $68,000 – $138,000
