SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Program Manager, Resource Development and Transportation the position is responsible for the coordination of activities as related to the development of employment opportunities for the Intellectually Disabled Community. The position must collaborate with the vendor community, various stakeholders, Department of Developmental Services and with IRC Resource and Development. The position will require data collection and maintenance as related to the tracking of employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect and formulate employment data, using a variety of word processing tools to track and report on outcomes.
- Provide and/or coordinate trainings and presentations; including but not limited to, speaking and presenting to large groups.
- Research and be the agency lead on microenterprise.
- Develop curriculum on employment training skills and discovery methodologies.
- Train the various vendors on the curriculum.
- Ensure the Employment First Policy is given high priority.
- Act as a liaison to day program facilities and provide employment related guidance for the successful transition to the HCBS-FR.
- Ensure all programs provide services that are community based, competitively employed and at least at the minimum wage level, as stated in the law and regulation.
- Is familiar with resources in the area and shares this information with staff and others as appropriate.
- Organize and work collaboratively with multiple agencies and stakeholders.
- Complete necessary paperwork, reports, etc. on a timely basis.
- Attend events related to employment.
- Participates in interagency committees and act as a liaison to IRC Vendor Advisory Committee (VAC).
- Provide written reports on job development to the Program Manager- Resource Development and Transportation at least quarterly.
- Assure that consumer’s rights and dignity are maintained in the provision of services.
- Actively seek to maintain knowledge of Lanterman Act, Title 17 and POS policy and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of employment legislation, laws, regulations and policy
- Perform different or additional work as assigned by Program Manager, Resource Development and Transportation.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree in business administration, marketing, rehabilitation counseling or a related field is required; Master’s degree highly preferred.
- Two years of experience in job development, recruitment or a related field.
- Two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or in a related human service delivery system.
- A knowledge base in California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 17 and the CMS HCBS-FR requirements is strongly recommended.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to handle change well and be flexible and adaptable in dealing with interruptions, new priorities, and new assignments
- Must effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Full use of an automobile, possession of a valid driver’s license and liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law or ability to provide for independent transportation. Must have and maintain a safe driving record.
