Employer Connections Manager

General Description of Position:

The Employer Connection Manager serves as a strategic partner to increase employer engagement with Ivy Tech Community College which in turn provides internships, and other work and learn opportunities for our students. This will be accomplished through the development and enhancement of employer talent pipelines.

This position reports to the campus Executive Director of Ivy+ Career Link and works collaboratively with Career Coaches, Employer Consultants, Academic Advisors, Deans, the K-14 Lead, and other staff as needed to meet College metrics and ensure services and products meet or exceed customer need and campus metrics.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Partners with campus Executive Director of Career Link to build out campus strategy and plans to meet and exceed related College goals and metrics.
  • Partners with Career Coaches to engage students and ensure participation in work-and-learn opportunities, internships and career placement strategies.
  • Partners with Employer Consultants to develop, consult, report and analyze student placement data, wages, employment trends, or other pertinent data. Remains current on employment trends and matches those with program opportunities.
  • Provides realistic and attainable metrics on student employment outcomes and recommends strategies to improve students’ employment outcomes.
  • Drives employer utilization of technology solutions that support career development and student and employer connections.
  • Participates in monthly meetings with relevant Office staff and also participates in related annual summits and/or retreats.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience and proven success of managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to student learning outcomes, staff development, and diversity required.
  • Must be able and willing to travel to and from campuses and employers and for professional development activities.

Work Hours:

  • Typical business work hours, may be adjusted during peak times.

Hiring Range:

  • $38,000 – 41,000 based on experience
