As a member of the Power Performance and Thermal team, responsibilities will include validating/integrating Power/Thermal SW for all Qualcomm’s Modem and Application Processor chipsets. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for:
• Software test content development, planning, and execution of test cases for Power/Thermal SW and debugging of SW related issues/problems on all Qualcomm chipset for various HLOS(Android, Windows, QNX etc.) and non-HLOS Subsystems(Modem, Sensors, Neural engine, etc.).
• Development of API level as well as system level test plans and test content using C/C++/C# and Python.
• Develop scripts/tools that can help in automation
• Development/Execution of functional/features tests for power/thermal SW and power/ thermal characterization/optimization/tuning
• Actively interact and work closely with Power/thermal SW teams, Chipset thermal/power team, target Power team, automation framework developers & other test engineers in team environment.
• Provide test results and characterization/optimization data to cross functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
• Good development skills in C/C++/C#
• Python programming experience is a must.
• Experience in test content development, Test methodology, execution and debugging is a must.
• Experience with version control systems
• Knowledge and experience working with embedded systems and knowledge of SW product cycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.
• Any technical background on power and thermal related fields and relevant test experience for the same on any platform is a big plus
• Experience in modem (3G/4G/5G) call processing and physical layer is a plus.
• Experience in multi-media technologies (Audio, Video, Camera & etc.) & machine learning technologies is a plus.
• Experience in any operating systems platform testing (Android Linux , Windows, QNX etc.) and processor level testing ( ARM) is a plus.
• Must be a good team player and have strong analytical skills. Previous testing experience on QCOM platform will be given a preference.

Pay range:
$88,000.00 – $132,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
