Responsibilities
Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as the E,I&C designer for multiple projects.
- You will have the opportunity to apply your classroom based computer-aided drafting skills, while receiving hands-on training from more senior E, I&C designers to:
- Design E, I&C scope for Oil & Gas projects while expanding knowledge on the application of engineering principles and a familiarity with construction, installation, and maintenance procedures
- Using AutoCAD, creates design deliverable packages, while working closely with a discipline engineer/PM
- Prepare layout, detail, sketch drawings and designs requiring the application of practical design knowledge
- Assist with calculations with supervision from discipline engineer to determine conduit & cable sizes, cable tray fill, and indoor/outdoor lighting levels
- Maintain effective communication with project team members and with clients, vendors, and contractors.
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
- A high school diploma and 1 or more years drafting course work or equivalent technical experience.
- Educational knowledge of standard computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required as well as a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in teams.
- Able to travel as necessary for client meetings, job site visits, start-up activities, etc. (up to 20% travel).
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- Currently attending a college or university and is pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Design or Bachelor’s of Science Degree in an Engineering Technology discipline (i.e., Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil).
- Experience using AutoCad software.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.
- Familiarity P&IDs and Instrumentation wiring
- Working knowledge of gas plants and gas processing
Salary (Hourly) Range
$15.00 – $18.00
