Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist the department in ensuring the educational mission of the Indiana State Fair Commission is realized through creating a first-class educational destination on the Fairgrounds, which engages students, consumers, and families.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and execute Virtual Fieldtrips.
2. Create and develop agriculture-focused curriculum and programs.
3. Fulfill Virtual Fieldtrip classroom kits.
4. Coordinate programming elements for year-round and for the annual Indiana State Fair.
5. Manage assigned exhibits during the annual Indiana State Fair.
6. Assist with other projects as assigned by the Education Director.

Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required in Education, Agriculture or relevant sciences.
• Working knowledge of curriculum and program development preferred.
• Experience in implementing informal and inquiry-based educational activity.
• Background in or knowledge of agriculture education preferred.
Job Complexity
Work requires substantial judgment and analytic ability requiring somewhat complex calculations, organizing information for reports and solving minor problems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position assists in the supervision of part-time staff, summer interns, volunteers and seasonal staff.
Supervision Received
This position will receive moderate supervision from the Director of Education. Objectives and goals are established in advance, but little in the way of course of action is generally specified or recommended.
The salary range for this position is $42,000 to $48,000.
