Jewelry Sorter / Tester – Full Time Job Position
Experience – Relevant: 1 Year (Preferred)
General Purpose:
To assist in facilitation of the processing of raw-jewelry received from the retail stores through Goodwill’s E-Commerce (Online) department
Essential Functions:• Work with variety of mixed raw-jewelry received from the stores.
• Responsible for sorting and pricing the raw jewelry as directed.
• Must be able to do detail work (untangle without breaking chains; matching earrings and pieces).
• Able to separate items using magnifiers, magnets or item manuals.
• Responsible for sorting by quality and certain categories.
• Responsible for processing and packing jewelry to send to the retail stores.
• Placing items inside crates or bags for the shipment to the stores.
• Responsible for testing precious metals and stones with available testing equipment.
• Achieve expected productivity goals.
• May need to lift up to 50lbs.
• Demonstrate safe work practices.
• Additional duties as required.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
• Ability to read and write English.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Knowledge of custom, costume and fine jewelry (preffered).
• Must be a detailed oriented individual.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to deal with change and work in a dynamic environment.
• Able to work under minimal supervision and process the expected number of crates of raw jewelry per day.
Special Working Conditions:
Duties will be performed in an industrial warehouse environment.
