We are looking for a highly-motivated & influential global app experience UX Design leader with strong analytical skills, a high-bar for world-class experiences, an ability to collaborate across teams, and a relentless determination to do what is right for all Amazon customers. You and your teams spanning content discovery, player experience, global commerce, X-Ray, Live TV and new audience incubation programs will set the product vision, and deliver bar-raising video experiences that delight Prime Video viewers across the globe. You will influence across multiple partner teams, including product, engineering, Brand, Marketing, and executive leaders across Amazon, driving mechanisms to connect those teams’ work into a single, holistic, end-to-end experience for our customers.

Key job responsibilities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 15+ years of experience as UX experience designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role designing mobile, web, and/or other applications
• 10+ years of experience successfully leading and managing large multi-disciplinary design teams
• An online portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions across desktop and mobile devices
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
• Proven experience with rapid, iterative research, design and development processes
• Proven track record presenting to, and influencing people, from other designers to senior executive management and effectively advising senior leaders outside of design
• Experience leading projects in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team including designers, researchers, design technologists, writers, product managers, program managers, and software developers
• Fluency in best practices for multi-platform research, information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
• Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree, in Design, HCI, or related field or equivalent professional experience within the design field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Design operations experience required to drive organizational design, product roadmaps, project planning, and resource prioritization
• Excellent bias for action including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Possess excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Willing to roll up the sleeves to meet business and product deliverables
• Passion for the role of design within an organization and the ability to hire, develop and mentor design talent
• Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, user interviews, contextual inquiry) is a strong plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $216,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $322,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
