The Bank of Nova Scotia seeks Director, U.S. Credit Risk, Global Risk Management in New York, NY to manage credit risk for the Bank’s U.S. corporate borrowers including general commercial & industrial, utilities/power, wholesale, agriculture, food & beverage, technology, cable & telecom, media & entertainment, retail, real estate, hospitality, gaming, and aerospace & transport industry groups. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing corporate lending products, counterparty derivative transactions and structures, and documentation; working with US regulatory system including actioning the Shared National Credit report, and utilizing experience with US regulatory changes including US Patriot Act, Dodd Frank, and EMIR, and Sovereign and Country Limits; utilizing experience in risk management environment and credit risk management frameworks and processes; communicating with local credit risk organizations and liaising with industry participants, regulatory bodies and various other external and internal parties; and liaising with various stakeholders including managing conflicting requirements. In the alternative the employer will accept a Master’s degree in one of the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above-listed skills. Offered salary is between $176,000 and $225,000 per year. 40 hrs per wk. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
