CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.
Within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure, the Spares Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring that the right spare parts, are in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost in support of global capacity requirements. Microsoft has an exciting opportunity on the Spares Supply Chain team for a Director of Supply Chain to lead the team of Fulfillment Program Managers supporting datacenters world-wide. The Spares Supply Chain is transforming the cloud service parts supply chain to enable increased customer focus, quality, and efficiency. This position is vital for supporting existing operational processes and future system changes as part of the journey to a world-class supply-chain and maintenance repairs and operations organization.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Spares Supply Chain performance into datacenters world-wide, managing a global team of Fulfillment Managers acting as the single point of contact for datacenters and key Cloud stakeholders in region.
- As a part of this responsibility, you / your team will manage stakeholder relationships and business reviews in-region, be accountable for key delivery and service metrics to include root cause and actions needed
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Fulfillment Managers, ensuring clarity of goals and objectives and inspiring energy to simultaneously deliver and transform the business
- Drive optimization and simplification in fulfillment processes and tools for the Spares Supply Chain. Due to the high volume and dynamic nature of the spares fulfillment space, ensure clarity on high vs. low business impacting priorities and improvement actions needed to ensure the team can scale to increasing volumes
- As a key leader in the Spares Supply Chain organization and face to datacenters world-wide, drive the implementation of a multi-year, in-process warranty transformation journey. Ensure that new processes and systems impacting datacenter touch points are proactively understood, managed for risk, and implemented with success.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of people management experience
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Executive presence with verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in data analytics
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment
- Prior experience in Spares and / or Fulfillment processes, preferably in the high-tech industry
- Master’s degree in Ops/Industrial /Manufacturing Engineering or Business
- Demonstated history of driving cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges
- Ability to synthesize varying data points and points of view into crisp, executive level communications
Business Program Management IC6 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 – $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 – $292,200 per year.
