Compensation: $180,000 to $230,000 per year. You are eligible for a Short-Term Incentive with the target at 20% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply. (Select either STI or SIP)

Director, Program Delivery – Cloud Transformation

We are looking for an experienced team leader who is passionate about building high performing teams and understands the value of structure while balancing the need for agility and innovation. You seamlessly blend strategic and tactical views so you can converse with all stakeholders effectively. Leveraging transformation program management best practices, this role will guide your team and at times step in directly to lead the facilitation of business strategy definition, scope identification, cross functional design, timeline alignment and driving on timely delivery of committed outcomes and deliverables. Deep problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to identify the symptoms, root cause and human pain points of a business problem are second nature to you.

This role requires a passion for all aspects of an enterprise transformation program blending business, financial, technical, and cultural change. You and your team will set budgets, define business outcomes, and build program plans for company-wide technology initiatives and deliver those programs on time and on budget. This role is remote and will report directly to the VP Product Delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships between informatics and our business peers to understand value and importance of initiatives
  • Deliver programs on time and on budget, through internal and external resources. First responsibility will be to structure and execute a cloud-migration program
  • Deliver program-level communications to business leaders and stakeholders to demonstrate initiative progress and resolve issues
  • Build out a program management staff and practice running standard playbooks and frameworks you have developed
  • Exceptional facilitation skills, including experience leading senior teams to make critical decisions and move work forward
  • Develop Statement of Work, leverage external resources, while concurrently fostering relationships with both internal teams and external vendors
  • Unwavering commitment to maintaining a customer-centric focus
  • Monitor and maintain portfolio of programs with expert oversight and curation
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Ensuring success measures in place for each initiative along with transparent reporting & decision making

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive, cross organizational program management experience managing highly visible, large-scale, strategic initiatives
  • 5+ years of leading program management teams in a fast paced and quickly evolving environment
  • Adept at translating strategy into execution by building project and portfolio plans that deliver demonstrated business value
  • Experience writing Statement of Work and managing both internal and external resources
  • Ability to work collaboratively; proven organizational and analytical skills, and proven skills to deliver to time, cost and quality
  • Experienced designing and implementing program management frameworks and standards
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high performing organizations in a dynamic environment
  • Solid managerial finance skills to manage and track value delivered to business partners
  • Experience with varying project management and understanding of project and vendor management techniques and methods
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact, influence and build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization including cross-functional teams and third parties
  • A passion for team mentorship, employee development and building a team culture based on delivering results at speed while having fun
  • Work well under pressure and manage difficult reporting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or advanced degree
  • Knowledge and application of a disciplined project management process (Six Sigma and Project Management Professional, Agile Certified Practitioner, Certified Scrum Master certifications)
  • Experience leading cloud transformation programs in the software industry with an enterprise products company or consulting experience (AWS certifications)
  • Trained in Lean Six Sigma practices and how they apply to software/informatics development
  • Proven experience of working with complex integrated software systems, using creative and strategic thinking to deliver exceptional results
  • Knowledge of design thinking, strategy definition, agility concepts and the ability to step in as a business transformation advisor as needed
