The Role

This role is an opportunity to join the Fidelity Real Estate Company (FREC), whose mission is to create spaces and experiences that encourage our associates, businesses and customers to thrive. As the FREC Director of Outdoor Experience, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading sustainability efforts, site design, management and projects for Fidelity Investments and other Fidelity entities. The candidate will manage and drive intent on projects related to exterior site design and construction; this may include master planning, site selection, accessibility, design oversight, plant selection, sustainability support and LEED compliance.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Licensed Landscape Architect preferred
  • Bachelors Degree required in Landscape Architecture or Sustainability
  • Sustainability or Environmental Design experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to help drive and cultivate a strong design and planning approach within the business
  • Work closely with FREC’s VP Sustainability/Outdoor Experience to understand, evolve, and ensure compliance to meeting FREC’s exterior design intent and sustainability goals.
  • Work closely with FREC’s Senior Design Team, Project Architects, Sustainability office and with Project Delivery Teams to coordinate design development and detailing components through all project phases to best meet the established program, schedule, and budget objectives.
  • Manage landscape budget and high standard maintenance of the sites according to the SOP and sustainability guidelines. Work with CBRE and CW to align goals and manage KPI reporting.

  • Communicates clearly, concisely and impactfully in order to influence others
  • Works comfortably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment handling multiple projects simultaneously with minimal day-to-day supervision with the ability to prioritize and shift focus quickly based on business need
  • Adaptable to new information, changing business priorities, input from others, and lessons learned

As Outdoor Experience Director, you will play a leadership role in setting and implementing the Site Planning and Management strategy for FREC, including:

  • Supporting the sustainability office on projects and programs outlined in the goals framework.
  • Execution of the Outdoor Experience Master Plan

  • Bringing energy, excitement, and a collaborative approach to your role every day
  • Collaborating across FREC and with design, operations, project delivery, and sustainability

The Team

The Outdoor Experience Director is part of the FREC’s Business Performance Management Group. This group is responsible for delivering on efficiency and innovation goals and evolving the way FREC delivers services to our associates and clients. Our approach is customer-centric-everything we do focuses on improving FREC as a business and delivering innovations and solutions that meet the needs of our customers at all levels.

$126,000 – $169,000 per year

This position is eligible for incentive compensation or an annual bonus opportunity.
