Position Description
Under the direction of the VP for Data Strategy and Institutional Advancement, the Director of Program Development/ Registrar oversees all functions of the Registrar’s Office and is responsible for regularly reporting enrollment and graduation information to the National Student Clearinghouse. This position also provides strategic direction and management of the development, review, and approval of new program proposals.
Position Essential Duties
1. Work with the President, state, community, and college personnel to plan, develop, and implement new instructional programs for the college to meet regional workforce needs to include research and state approval for all new programs.
2. Serve as the College’s Registrar by overseeing the daily operations of the Registrar’s Office and is a standing member of the Satisfactory Academic Progress Committee for appeals that involve academic status.
3. Evaluate student transfer credits, under the direction of the VP for Data Strategy and Institutional Advancement.
4. Update the student information system based on catalog changes such as advising trees, pre- and co-requisites, course descriptions, Carnegie hours, etc.
5. Report enrollment changes to the National Clearinghouse, ensuring accuracy of the data submitted. Troubleshoot reporting errors.
6. Evaluate candidates for graduation, ensuring accuracy of all degrees, GPA, and honors information for diploma production.
7. Work with Academics to ensure proper interpretation and enforcement of academic rules and regulations.
8. Monitor academic standing and coordinates probation, suspension, and Dean’s lists, as appropriate.
9. Oversee veteran affair processes.
10. Use technology to ensure efficiencies, excellent, customer service, and improved processes.
11. Assume special projects as directed by the VP for Data Strategy and Institutional Advancement.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Processing, Business, or related field and at least 3-5 year’s work-related experience, preferably in student records, admissions, Registrar’s Office, or similar industry.
