GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Director of Missions and Mobilization is responsible for directing all administrative tasks connected with the ministries of Missions and Mobilization. This position will help to implement vision, provide focus, and maintain Missions Giving budgetary oversight. This position will be responsible for mobilizing and involving the Bent Tree church body in Mission Journeys and volunteer opportunities within Global Missions Ministries. This includes the day-to-day management and strategic decision making connected to mobilizing the Body globally and leading out in the process of missionary sending, care and encouragement, and evaluation.
DUTIES
- Work closely with Missions Pastor to provide input and feedback for Missions strategy.
- Work closely with Missions Pastor to vet potential missionaries, agencies and partners.
- Work closely with Missions Pastor to develop and spearhead missionary care and accountability initiatives.
- Oversee the mobilization of the Bent Tree body through global short-term journeys and missionary candidacy.
- Oversee the placement and assimilation of global missions volunteers.
- Oversee and administer all areas of Missions related to finance, including Missions Giving budget and implementation of investments approved by Missions Lead Team, and Elder Board.
- Assist in facilitation of Missions Lead Team meetings.
- Provide financial updates to Missions Staff, Missions Lead Team, Team Leads, and Elders as requested.
- Establish and maintain all Missions policy documentation.
- Oversee and implement Missions strategies.
- Oversee and implement areas of administration for Missions department.
- Travel internationally to visit partnerships and agencies.

- Work with: Missions Team, BTBF Staff, and Servants
- Report to: Missions Pastor
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with a diverse group of people in a variety of situations including, but not limited to, different cultures and people and departments within the church.
- Heart for missions: Ability to handle details and to shepherd will need to be matched with a desire for reaching the lost and taking God’s redemptive message of love to the world.
- Well organized with good time management and project management abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain healthy and motivating relationships with supervisors, coworkers, servants, and ministry partners
- Ability to manage, administrate, juggle multiple projects well. Ability to take projects from ideas to execution, to maintain the big picture and drive the details.
- Understand, accept, and embrace a diversity of cultures and peoples
- Systems and process minded to effectively and efficiently execute details with excellence
