About the Role

Dow Jones is looking for an experienced Transformational Agile Leader to lead our Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) transformation. You will lead this important multi-year transformation across the Enterprise (B2B and B2C) reporting directly to the Head of PMO.

You will be an impactful position to influence and collaborate across the C-suite and their departments, ensuring a seamless integration of Agile Practice throughout the organization. You will work with cross-functional teams to establish and integrate Agile methodologies, design and oversee team training, ensure execution and enterprise adoption while encouraging an outcomes focused culture. With your understanding of Agile principles and the SAFe framework, you will provide strategic guidance and mentoring to teams, allowing them to improve their processes and deliver value to our customers.

Your knowledge of the SAFe Agile framework is combined with your practical experience in complex program execution and delivery to accelerate our transformation.

Director, Agile Transformation

You Will:

  • Lead the Agile Transformation program starting with an evaluation of the current state of
  • Agile to develop the transformation roadmap
  • Roll-out role specific Agile training and provide coaching on SAFe agile
  • principles, practices, and frameworks
  • Define metrics (KPIs) to measure and communicate the success of our SAFe agile
  • transformation and adoption
  • Bring the relevant processes, modes of thinking, and practices to increase agility and the associated value delivered to customers
  • Partner with the Dow Jones Enterprise Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) on establishing best practices for sustain SAFe adherence
  • Communicate the value and benefits of Agile methodologies and transformation, and technical concepts, to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Communicate the business need, urgency, and vision for change
  • Provide new methods and practices that connect the entire enterprise with the principles that allow Business Agility
  • Allow collaborative environment that furthers the organizational ability to problem-solve, learn and retain top talent
  • Lead quarterly PI planning sessions
  • Assess and evolve launch and backlog readiness
  • Present/support preparation of program updates for key stakeholder and executive-level meetings (e.g C-suite meetings)

You Have:

  • 8+ years with scaled agile framework
  • 10+ years Project Management Experience
  • SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) Certification
  • Enterprise Agile Coaching (ICP-ENT) Certification
  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing and delivering large-scale business change or continuous improvement programs preferably in large, matrixed organizations
  • Experience with change management techniques
  • Committed to learning and staying up-to-date with the latest Agile trends and Practice
  • Operate at strategic level to drive Agile adoption with a willingness to dive into details of
  • execution to ensure delivery
  • Ability to compete and excel in the digital age by quickly responding to market changes and new opportunities with innovative, digitally-enabled business solutions
  • Experienced in relevant collaboration tools and applications such as G-Suite, Atlassian
  • products, Miro, Figma, LucidChart, etc

Pay Range: $100,000 – $250,000
