Job Title: Director, Adult Hockey
Department: Adult Hockey Reports To: Assistant Executive Director, Membership Location: USA Hockey National Office – Colorado Springs. CO Basic Function: Recruit and support adult hockey leagues, as well develop programs and resources for those programs to grow. Have oversight of all adult national events and increase the value proposition for being a member of a USA Hockey.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and support the coordinator of adult hockey with the administration of several adult events including, but not limited to; Pond Hockey, adult nationals, classic tournaments, skills clinics, and learn to plays opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with USA Hockey’s District and Affiliate leaders.
- Act as the staff liaison for the USA Hockey’s Adult Council.
- Provide support on growing participation, operating a top-performing league, development of tools, and analyzing membership data.
- Meet with USA Hockey registered and non-registered programs, both in person and virtually, throughout the country to foster relationships and strengthen the number of sanctioned adult programs.
- Maintain existing, as well as create new, resources for use by adult league directors.
- Work with professional hockey clubs to provide unique opportunities for adult members.
- Liaison with USA Hockey’s corporate partnership team to fulfill partnership obligations.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge and experience with USA Hockey’s grassroots programs and structure
- Ability to work with local and national hockey leaders
- Five to eight years of sports-related experience, preferably in ice hockey
- Sales and relationship management experience
- Hands-on adult hockey program experience strongly preferred
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously
- Must be comfortable working in fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

WORK CONDITIONS:
- Standard office equipment.
- Office in a multi-level building. Ascending or descending stairs or elevator access.
- Job may require event set-up/tear-down, moving boxes in storage or at events.
- Extensive travel is required.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- $70,000$75,000
- Benefits include health/dental/vision, vacation, sick, and personal time, 403B with match after six months and 10-12 paid holidays per year.
