Director, Account Management, Large Market

Description

As a Director of Account Management, you will work with our employer clients, their consultants /brokers and vendor partners to maintain exemplary service for the life of their partnership with Progyny. You are accountable for partnering with the large employer segment creating client value, loyalty, satisfaction, and retention.

What you’ll do…

  • Establish, cultivate, a manage and maintain the employer-client relationship at multiple levels, serving as a healthcare consultant and trusted business advisor
  • Build relationships with key employer-client stakeholders, consultants, and brokers, recognizing the value each brings to employers
  • Meet with clients regularly (virtually and in-person) or more often as necessary to provide program updates and address business concerns
  • Prepare, host and follow-up an annual priorities and goals planning session with the client
  • Create and clearly articulate the value story, trend drivers and tracking of solutions performance to the client utilizing and cost data to uncover actionable insights and help client elevate investment in the fertility and family building offering
  • Create and execute on the strategic retention and growth plan for each assigned client
  • Effectively plan, negotiate, and influence the interactions and relationships with employers, their brokers / consultants and internal team members to achieve strategic account goals
  • Successfully manage upsells of new product lines and renewals of current clients
  • Deliver on key KPIs, including sales performance, relationship satisfaction, marketing and retention metrics for employer clients
  • Resolve member abrasions that are escalated within Progyny and work with other team members to identify the root cause of the escalation and the best path to resolve it

About you…

  • 10+ years of strategic and consultative account management/client success experience within healthcare, employer benefits or insurance industries
  • Proven track record of working with senior-level executives for client relationship management and consultation within healthcare benefits segment
  • Excellent negotiation, collaboration, listening and follow-up skills
  • Excellent messaging, positioning and presentation of information for client impact and decision-making
  • Unparalleled project management skills – identify a goal and the steps needed; actively manage action steps to accomplish goal while managing and holding key stakeholders accountable
  • Strong business and financial acumen; strong problem-solving, judgment and analytic skills
  • Prior experience and success in a fast-growing organization
  • Preferred to be based in the East / Northeast United States, and able to travel 30% for client and company meetings

In compliance with New York City’s Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary range for NYC-based applicants is: $140,000 – $155,000. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
