We’re looking for a creative and innovative Digital Content Designer
to join our Marketing and Communications team!
In this position, you will be responsible for planning and producing content for
City of Surprise social media channels, including text, photos, video, and graphic design elements.
You will need to be a strong digital and print designer because you will also assist our graphic designers on creating collateral such as brochures, flyers, magazines and more!

SUMMARY
The Digital Content Designer assists with the development of digital marketing, public relations campaigns and branding materials for the City and the various departments within it, including writing, creating graphics, and capturing photos and videos. The Digital Content Designer is responsible for managing content for social and digital media, including designing, posting, analytics and strategy for various social media channels, along with outreach and customer relations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, Communications or related field and five years’ experience in social media, graphic design and/or digital marketing; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
