Job Description:
This position will assist with the creation of computer images, updating software, and patching all campus Microsoft Windows and Macintosh computers. The position works closely with a team in designing, testing, installing, operating, and documenting Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. Additionally, this position will assist with managing and supporting a virtual desktop environment for remote software access.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, and experience installing and supporting Microsoft Windows computers.
- Knowledge of deployment and administration tools for maintaining a large number of Windows computers.
- Strong communication skills verbal and written with technical and nontechnical users.
- Demonstrated ability to handle hardware and software failures in a calm, efficient manner.
- Ability to research and document solutions to complex technical problems.
- Willingness to seek out methods to improve systems and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to document detailed technical and non-technical procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager in medium to large environments.
- Proficient use of PowerShell or other scripting tools to manage Microsoft Windows systems.
- Working knowledge of configuring and maintaining Virtual Desktop Environments such as AWS AppStream.
- Experience managing and supporting Apple macOS and iOS systems.
- Experience using Group Policy Object management for system configuration.
