POSITION SUMMARY:
As a senior member of the creative team, the Design Director will be integral in setting and delivering the creative and strategic vision. They demonstrate expertise in art direction and design and are responsible for key marketing and brand related projects, alongside their day-to-day role; briefing designers, reviewing work, and setting the bar for excellence within the creative team. They propose and develop best-in-class strategic solutions for brand touchpoints, including guidance, design systems, and data visualization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with stakeholders throughout the firm, product design teams, and the marketing department, identifying needs, opportunities, and requirements that result in superior and effective design systems and creative outputs.
- Provide expertise in data visualization and implementation to make the data easy to digest and more compelling to the audience to differentiate the business from competitors in the market.
- Build and maintain brand-compliant color system and style for data visualization that are aligned to the brand and works under accessibility conditions.
- Educate both designers and non-designers on brand usage and formatting best practices for brand expressions.
- Partner with marketing teams to create and execute strategic design solutions and experiences.
- Have a clear design point of view and vision for the future, with courage to pursue forward-thinking design solutions and champion bold and boundary pushing ideas.
- Overseeing key projects from start to finish, keeping to deadlines, and presenting to key stakeholders.
- Work with Creative Director and Project Managers to strategize and staff projects.

- Develop a comprehensive understanding of business partner markets, products, and customers, demonstrating creative solutions in response to their marketing objectives.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- The ideal candidate must have minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
- The ideal candidate must have the mastery of basic design fundamentals including typography, line, form, color, pattern, contrast, scale, weight, etc
- The ideal candidate must have a clear understanding of design-centered processes as well as proven methodologies for identifying and solving problems.
- The ideal candidate must have advanced computer skills including experience using Microsoft suite, Adobe suite, Figma, and other design applications
- Must demonstrate superior familiarity with brand guidelines and design systems, recommending and delivering evolutions and improvements.
- Must have the proficiency in Creative direction for print design, interaction design, motion graphics, storyboarding, video production and editing.
- Must have the ability to mentor and oversee members of a geographically dispersed creative team.
LOCATION:
This is a remote position.
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this role is $93,000 to $188,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
