Data Scientist Lead

Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop and execute machine learning and analytics models. Collaborate with analytics, technologies and business partners, as well as subject matter experts to develop analytics solutions. Construct logic to query large datasets. Wrangle and clean data. Deliver and drive analytics insights for business stakeholders. Present and communicate analytics output to senior leaders and stakeholder. Develop and manage stakeholder relationships. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data scientists.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science or related field of study plus Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Data Scientist Lead, Commodities Research or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in job offered or as Data Scientist Lead, Commodities Research or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Machine learning languages including Python and R; SQL; machine learning toolkits and algorithms including, Random Forest, Neural Networks, and Gradient Boosting; Probability Theory; Statistical Theory; Applied Statistics; Causal Interference; and wrangling, cleaning, organizing, aggregating, transforming, and enriching large and unstructured data..

Job Location: 277 Park Avenue, New York, New York 10172. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Salary: $178,000.00-$200,000.00 per year.
