Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analytics and Automation Catalyst to join our Internal Audit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing data analytics and automations on various processes, identifying areas of improvement, and developing solutions to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Internal Audit function. This role will report to the Data Analytics and Automation Manager and will join our journey to digital innovation and analytics maturity.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal auditors and management to understand data analytics needs and identify high-impact opportunities to improve the audit process and implement sound analytics solutions and capabilities to the global Internal Audit function.
  • Design continuous integration and continuous deployment data pipeline framework as an integral foundation for developing and executing continuous audit (CA) and continuous monitoring (CM). Develop and maintain automated audit tests and workflows to streamline audit processes and improve efficiency and testing undependability.
  • Identify analytics projects worth automating and partner with IGT’s Robotics Center of Excellence Team in developing, executing, and maintaining Internal Audit automations using RPA.
  • Lead data analysis and automation projects. This includes business requirements gathering, prioritization, data identification, POC and solution proposal, testing, iterative feedback gathering and approvals, internal client buy-in.
  • Create and maintain data analytics documentation and versioning, including data sources, scripts, instructions, etc., for reproducible work, collaboration, and efficient redevelopment.
  • Visualize data and apply data storytelling techniques to communicate insights using tools such as Knime, R, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Identify the best solution for a given project by utilizing the most suitable tool or a technology stack in an integrated fashion.
  • Deploy sound practices for data collection, handling, and storage, assuring compliance with regulatory and privacy requirements throughout all phases of the analytics projects ensuring that data analytics and automation solutions comply with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of data identification, data structures, and data wrangling techniques with the ability to query data from various sources and utilize data wrangling tools for data profiling, stitching, consolidation, transformation, and analytics.
  • Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends and anomalies that may indicate control weaknesses or potential risks. Deploy sound statistical techniques for population analysis, random sampling, stratified random sampling, outlier detection. Knowledge of Benford’s Law is a plus.
  • Build successful relationships with cross-functional teams. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business processes, data sources, and data structures. Develop an understanding of Internal Audit and various lines of financial, IT, engineering, compliance, and operational roles within IGT.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data analytics concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate a digital mindset and a passion for technology and continuous improvement, continually learning and staying abreast on new processes and technologies that may bring value to the Internal Audit team. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in data analytics and automation, and propose innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal audit function.

Qualifications

Relevant education and experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with data analysis and automation, including advance analytics and statistics
  • Experience with SQL , Tableau/Tableau Prep, Power BI , R/Python, ACL, Knime/Alteryx, BluePrism
  • Knowledge of data wrangling techniques, data structures, data mapping and profiling
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaborative relationships building skills
  • Motivated self-starter with logical, yet creative and proactive mindset and agility in managing change and shifting priorities
  • Independent decision making aligned with Internal Audit and Corporate vision and goals.
  • Outstanding project management skills, communicate and coordinate progress, and deliver results
  • Foster innovation and demonstrate a digital mindset and identify and recognize the potential of new technology and analytics solutions
  • 5%-10% travel required with some domestic and international travel

Additional Qualifications

  • Prior Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance experience is a plus
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with ACL (Audit Command Language) Analytics
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $58,100 – $113,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
