The Cybersecurity Senior Associate supports the RWECE Cybersecurity program by performing various cybersecurity functions, including but not limited to Threat and Vulnerability Management; Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance; Security Architecture; Awareness & Training, Security Operations and Incident Response; and Information Protection.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze resources such as Splunk, Microsoft 365 Defender, and others
- Maintain a strong awareness of the current threat landscape
- Conduct vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation activities
- Advise IT & OT project teams on cybersecurity governance requirements
- Conduct risk assessments for applications, systems, and vendors
- Conduct training & awareness activities
- Assess threat information and produce Cyber Threat Intelligence
- Author, review, edit, and update cybersecurity policies and standards
- Manage cybersecurity risk
Qualification:
- Minimum 3 years of cumulative cybersecurity experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Threat and Vulnerability Management;
- Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance;
- Security Architecture;
- Awareness & Training;
- Security Operations and Incident Response;
- Information Protection
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or demonstrated equivalent experience is preferred
- Experience as an Incident Commander, Incident Handler, or Incident Manager is preferred
- Experience implementing and using one or more of the following is preferred:
- Security Information and Event Management
- Endpoint Detection and Response
- Next Generation Firewalls
- Network Security Monitoring
- Email Threat Protection
- Experience with Data Loss Prevention software and systems is preferred
- Familiarity with NERC’s Critical Infrastructure Protection standard preferred
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York City is $106,415.78 – $159,623.67. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
