Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a qualified candidate who will become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton’s DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.
The Cyber Analytics Lead role will be located in Beltsville, MD.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and mentor the cyber data analytics team, ensuring continuous growth, skill development, and efficient value delivery.
- In collaboration with the Data Architect, direct the collection, storage, and management of vast cybersecurity datasets, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with Department stakeholders to ensure the secure collection, storage, and management of large cybersecurity datasets.
- Ensure data hygiene and accuracy while optimizing data retrieval and analysis processes.
- Establish and oversee data governance policies related to cybersecurity analytics.
- Spearhead initiatives to improve data quality, optimization, and processing.
- Provide key stakeholder input towards the implementation and optimization of cloud-based cyber analytics platforms and tools.
- Ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions with existing data infrastructures and cybersecurity tools.
- Provide key stakeholder and SME input towards the implementation and optimization of Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions, ensuring they are effectively ingesting and processing data.
- Develop and implement the strategic direction for the cyber data management domain, aligning with broader cybersecurity and organizational goals.
- Oversee the selection, deployment, and continuous improvement of data-centric cybersecurity tools and platforms.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to enhance tool capabilities and address technical challenges.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications- To be considered for this position, you must at minimum meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 14 years’ experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Requires US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain an interim Secret security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret.
- Possess one of the following certifications or be able to obtain before start date: CASP+CE, CCISO, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISM, CISSP (or associate), CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, GSLC, or SCYBER.
- Experience in Cyber Analytics, XDR, and Cloud Data Management.

Target Salary Range
$135,000 – $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
