Responsibilities
The Cyber Analyst conducts research and evaluates technical and all-source intelligence with specific emphasis on user behavior and patterns in a dynamic and changing mission environment. The successful candidate detects anomalous activity in raw and processed log files for deeper exploration leveraging Intelligence Community (IC) tools and databases. He or she differentiates between general and targeted or suspicious scanning; identifies trends in cyber systems and performs behavior analysis; uses Splunk dashboards to create alerts and investigate log files; and, correlates threat data from various sources. The Cyber Analyst is expected to write concise technical assessments that highlight findings supported by evidence and clearly articulate the impact of conclusions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Must possess an active, current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph;
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited college/university, or 4 additional years of related experience in lieu of degree;
- 6 years’ experience conducting cyber analysis or cyber targeting;
- 3 years’ experience with commercial telecommunications protocols;
- 3 years’ experience with technical collection and commercial data sets;
- 3 years’ experience utilizing at least one customer tool for telecommunication analysis;
- 3 years’ experience with the Splunk analysis software tool;
- Willingness to build upon existing education and experience to expand his/her analytical skills and knowledge of targeted technologies;
- Willingness to support cross-training of team members and the growth of other team members’ knowledge and capabilities.
Desired Qualifications
- Obtain and maintain relevant technical certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA, CEH, etc.);
- Experience with offensive cyber operations;
- Experience supporting risk management systems;
- Experience with Python;
- Experience with the intelligence life cycle.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 – $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
