2nd Shift Custodian/ Janitor role
Currently we have an opening for a cleaning pro to help maintain the cleanliness of our facility. This position performs general housekeeping and cleaning duties in a number of areas including our break room, locker rooms, general office areas, labs, and trucker lounge. Responsibilities also include periodic heavy cleaning such as shampooing or stripping floors, washing walls, windows, etc. as needed. We are looking for someone with prior janitorial experience who has the ability to run assigned cleaning equipment such as Kaivac cleaner, floor buffer, and Clorox 360 system.
Job Duties will include:
- Remove trash and replace liners in all designated areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop all floors as applicable in all designated areas.
- Clean all restroom and locker room areas.
- Clean and sanitize break room twice per shift.
- Clean truckers lounge.
- Clean all office areas and reception area.
- Check and restock all applicable supplies.
- Perform these and all additional duties as listed on the housekeeping checklist. Checklist items are subject to change.
- Perform periodic heavy cleaning such as shampooing or stripping floors, washing walls, windows, etc. as requested.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE prior experience in general cleaning; working within a manufacturing environment PREFERRED
- Have experience shampooing, stripping floors and know how to use related equipment well
- Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Reading skills to read labels and work from written instructions
- Ability to communicate with coworkers and management and provide good customer service
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask
- Be flexible and willing to assist in other tasks as assigned
- Stand/Walk up to 100% of the time
- Ability to run assigned equipment
- Lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Pulling and pushing frequently
- Climbing/Stooping occasionally
- Tolerance for dusty conditions and exposure to chemicals
