Job Description

Endeavor seeks a talented and highly motivated lawyer to join its team in New York as Counsel, Legal & Business Affairs, supporting Endeavor’s WME Fashion representation businesses: IMG Models, Art+Commerce and The Wall Group. This is a high-volume practice supporting a large group of client managers who operate within tight timeframes. Primary responsibilities include:

1) Negotiating and managing a huge volume of agreements for models, photographers, stylists, and other fashion professionals, including contracts for editorial and runway work, endorsements, licensed products, personal appearances, influencer marketing, and other image-rights deals

2) Giving actionable guidance to the business on legal issues, including advertising-law matters, guild compliance, and laws relating to child performers.

3) Implementing and refining contract administration and document-management processes

4) Fostering positive long-term relationships with the company’s clients and customers

Qualifications

5) Admitted to NY Bar

6) 3-5 years of transactional legal/business affairs experience, ideally with at least 2 years in a law firm and/or corporate legal department, including experience negotiating entertainment-related contracts.

7) Knowledge of and passion for the fashion industry, and ideally some familiarity with the SAG-AFTRA commercials contract, FTC endorsement guidelines, and laws applicable to child performers

8) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with a range of personalities and styles in a fast-paced environment, and explain complex concepts to clients and colleagues without legal training

9) Outstanding negotiation, drafting, analytical, and organizational skills

10) A curious mind, a strong work ethic, and a creative but practical approach to problem-solving

11) An upbeat temperament, and a team-oriented approach to work

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Endeavor strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Range Minimum:
$135,000 annually

Hiring Range Maximum:
$180,000 annually
