The Corporate External and Legal Affairs (CELA) Head Quarters (HQ) Team, who support Microsoft’s CELA department, is looking for a results oriented, innovative, and collaborative self-starter to fill the role of Business Program Manager. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations and Strategic Projects, this individual will support the various operations and workstreams supporting the CELA HQ team. The role will also provide occasional back-up assistance to the Executive Admin to the Vice Chair and President.
A successful candidate will have excellent in-person collaboration, planning, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. You must be able to multi-task, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, meet deadlines, and be comfortable working independently. The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and be able to move forward without having every detail locked down is essential to success. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 2+ years of advanced level business administrator experience supporting executive leadership
- OR equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Functional knowledge of Microsoft (MS) tools such as Manager Self Service (MSS) Tool, MS Expense 2, and My Order.

- Experience working in environments that require you to exercise sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, integrity, and professionalism in all transactions including communicating and working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated experience working successfully in a global team environment, including the ability to build effective cross-group working relationships and ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Experience working with a high level of integrity and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Track record of accommodating varying work styles and perspectives of diverse individuals and groups.
- Experience working in environments that require the ability to act with appropriate urgency and to make course corrections as needed in response to changing work situations.
- Demonstrated Experience working effectively under pressure.
Business Program Management IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $72,800 – $144,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $95,100 – $157,900 per year.

Responsibilities:
- Rhythm of the business support . Coordinate and manage the logistics for key reoccurring events and engagements, including in support of the CELA rhythm of business. Responsibilities include in-person meeting coordination and on-site logistic support.
- Business operations support . Assist with CELA HQ’s budget management, including creation and processing of PO’s, payment of invoices, and vendor setup and management as appropriate. Maintain a good understanding of the team’s operations and actively contribute to improving efficiency.
- Project management. Support selected cross-organizational and cross-disciplinary initiatives and projects, deliver status reports, coordinating schedules and workback plans, and providing meeting support and working with key stakeholders as appropriate, including in-person collaboration.
- Business Program Planning: I dentifies internal opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones. Begins to improve operations of existing programs by defining program issues, assessing various scenarios, and selecting the optimal scenario to resolve issues. Drives clarity in program issues and strives for simplification .
- Administration support . Manage international travel scheduling end-to-end including the proactive anticipation of logistics and itineraries; complete executive’s expense reports in a compliant and timely manner; provide administrative support for the broader CELA HQ team as appropriate, including back up calendar.
