Overview
We are looking for a responsible Full-Time Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to receive, inspect and record shipments of raw material or products. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders.
A shipping and receiving coordinator must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. You must also have adequate physical strength to unload shipments and the clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers.
The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages, distribute them to their appropriate departments and stock, if necessary.
This role will pay a salary of $24.

About the Venue
UBS Arena at Belmont Park is made for music and built for hockey. New York’s newest premier entertainment and sports venueopened in November 2021 and has already welcomed numerous top artists, including Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone and more. The venue delivers an unmatched live entertainment experience, including clear sightlines and premier acoustics. UBS Arena achieved carbon neutrality for operations in Fall 2022, which makes it the first arena to do so on the eastern United States seaboard.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with procuring departments to list expected deliveries in 24/7
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
• Receive United States Postal Service and other carrier deliveries
• Coordinate with carriers for outgoing shipments
• Unload packages from incoming trucks, if necessary
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
• Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
• Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated department
• When necessary, sign for appropriately received packages
• Maintain an accurate record of deliveries in 24/7
• Credential creation for employees of UBS Arena as well as third party contractors
• Conduct inventory of Security Department property
• Replenish supplies related to the Security Office
• Perform other administrative duties as directed by Security Management
Qualifications
• Proven experience as shipping and receiving coordinator or similar position
• Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data (24/7 and Microsoft Office suite a plus)
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
• Basic math and recording abilities
• Excellent organizational skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Keen eye for detail
• Good physical condition
