Description:The Skunk Works is looking for world-class talent in mission systems engineering to join the 75 year tradition of creating advanced aircraft.
The candidate will be assigned as a Computer Systems Architect in an ADP (Advanced Development Program) classified program. As a member of a small architecture team your daily tasks will include applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify enterprise solutions across the lifecycle; developing against, evaluating, and analyzing design constraints, trade-offs, and detailed system and security design across multidisciplinary domains; and the technical execution of multiple system modifications to ensure that the final delivered system meets contract requirements. The architecture team ensures that required design updates/modifications are properly vetted and introduced into the system through a mechanism that will enable a stable and common baseline.
The candidate will produce technical presentations in support of program reviews, both internally and with the customer; track security issues and updates to existing applications/software to prepare for possible upgrade needs; coordinate with other program groups in the development and maintenance of systems; and will be responsible for developing documentation for specific system capabilities upgrades and modifications.
The ideal candidate will be able to solve problems rapidly and will have excellent communication skills. Candidate will be expected to understand immerging technologies that support current and future industry and government security requirements, and understand requirements and expectations of different technology environments, i.e. cloud, mobile, standalone environments, connected government environments, etc. Some travel is required.
Must be a US Citizen. Position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected applicant must have a Top Secret Security Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.

Basic Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
– Ability to work independently and work with limited direction to accomplish project goals
– MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
– Must be a US Citizen. Position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected applicant must have a Top Secret Security Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years
Desired Skills:
– DoD 8570 IAT Level I Certification
– Familiarity with Cross Domain Solution(s)
– Familiarity or proficiency with the following engineering tools: SysML/Cameo Magic Draw, DOORS, MATLAB, Architecture Framework such as DoDAF, Model Center
– Experience with different technology environments (cloud, mobile, etc.)
– Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems
– Experience with software development (architecture, design, code implementation, code repositories, etc…)
– Experience with enterprise computing resources (Network attached storage, switches/routing infrastructure, Windows and Linux operating systems, VMware virtualization)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with an investigation within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $98,800 – $186,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
