Components Engineer

Contract Position

$47.61-$58.00/Hour

This role is supporting the space systems division of one of our longest partners in our 28 years of staffing in Aerospace and Defense. This program builds satellites and spacecraft that do amazing things in space for government and commercial customers. You will be working with a team whose satellites give earlier warning of severe weather, connect troops on the battlefield, and deliver GPS directions to a billion people worldwide. Responsibilities:

  • Perform and/or assist in the performance of Parts Engineering, development of the program EEE Parts management plan, or applications engineering tasks evaluate new technologies and work closely with survivability and other agencies such as DLA, Part Manufacturers, and Test Labs.
  • Work on a broad range of projects, in both a laboratory and manufacturing environment, that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career.
  • Work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree combined with 6 + years of relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree combiend with 4 + years of relevant work experience.
  • Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits
    • An understanding of EEE parts performance requirements and specifications
    • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Desired Skills:
    • Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs.
    • Ability to manage engineering projects.
    • Knowledge of circuit card and EEE Parts Material manufacturing processes.
    • Be able to evaluate current and new developing technologies for the EEE parts for the complex design packages.
    • Experience in working with the Program Office, Contractors, Designers, and other agencies such as DLA.
    • Comfortable with communicating in a variety of forums.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
