We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Clerk to join our Global Ethics & Compliance team at Edelman. This individual will report to the Global Ethics & Compliance Officer and provide support to various members of the legal and compliance team with regulatory filings, business records, help maintain internal sites, training metrics, and generating reports as it relates to company’s compliance and ethics program. Individual needs to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and familiar with various compliance regulations such as U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”), UK Bribery Act, Foreign Agents Registration Act (“FARA”), and U.S. sanctions regulations and data privacy.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Global Ethics & Compliance Officer and legal/compliance team in various administrative and clerical tasks.
- Support the filing of regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with compliance team members to compile, organize, and maintain business records and documentation.
- Help prepare compliance-related reports and training metrics.
- Assist in generating and uploading communications related to the company’s compliance and ethics program.
- Participate in the maintenance and improvement of internal compliance systems and controls.
- Conduct research to stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices.
- Play a role in building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, enhancing communication channels.
- Support the team in investigations and reviews related to compliant operations.
- Participate in the preparation of training materials and presentations for compliance training sessions.
- Maintain a keen focus on maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with compliance regulations such as FCPA, UK Bribery Act, FARA, and Sanctions.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with a strong attention to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Demonstrates the ability to take direction effectively and work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks.
$38,000 – $60,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
