Job Description
Pay grade: I
Under general supervision, the Compliance Business Analyst 2 receives and processes incident and complaints reports regarding licensed and unlicensed residential child care facilities and agencies. This position reports to the Compliance Business Analyst Supervisor,
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Enters intakes and complaints into the TRAILS (Tracking Residential Applications, Incidents and Licenses System) database.
- Assess and triage incident reports from complainants and self-reports relating to applicable state rules and regulations of residential child care facilities and agencies regulated by the state.
- Gather and assess relevant information from community partners.
- Conducts follow-up interviews and internal investigations with providers and complainants and conducts investigations of allegations regarding unlicensed facilities.
- Review policies and procedures from residential child care facilities and agencies.
- Review written survey reports based on principles of documentation, relevant knowledge obtained from training and education, coordination, and exchange of information with other service providers and public and private social service agencies.
- Confers with administrators facilities and agencies to discuss areas of noncompliance and interprets and clarifies policies relative to violations noted.
- Provides advisement to administrators of facilities as to how to achieve compliance, develops timeframes for achieving compliance, provides technical assistance to meet desired goals and conducts follow-up assessments to ensure sustained compliance.
- Provides expertise in areas such as reporting, treatment planning, interviewing techniques, assessment, conducting investigations and case management.
- Provides legal testimony, as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One (1) year of experience in a related field.
OR
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university AND Three (3) years of related experience.
OR
- Four (4) years of related experience.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following skills/experience:
- Speak a Foreign Language
