TITLE: COMMUNITY EDUCATION MANAGER

1. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Training and/or 2 years of experience required.
3. Proficient with technology and various software programs.
4. Demonstrated customer service skills.
5. Ability to work independently and prioritize work assignments.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.
REPORTS TO:Director of Community Education Services

JOB GOALS: To assist in managing the efficient and effective operations of the Community Education Services programs by use of cooperative teaming, supervisory, administrative and organizational skills.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBIITES:

  1. Provides a welcoming atmosphere, information and directions for visitors, students and staff.
  2. Promotes and communicates a positive image of Community Education and Services both internally and externally.
  3. Manages programs to meet community needs and deliver high quality learning opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with Coordinators in developing and maintaining program budgets. Ensures that all programs are operating in a fiscally responsible manner.
  5. Assists with long range planning and program goals.
  6. Assists with ongoing assessment of participant needs.
  7. Coordinates and assists with advisory council meetings, orientation and training.
  8. Serve as a member of the Community Education Services leadership team.
  9. Plan and facilitate staff meetings and in-service trainings.
  10. Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff.
  11. Write for grants and scholarships.
  12. Collaborate with in-district and community partners to maximize integration of community education programs.
  13. Attend leadership team meetings, staff meetings, council meetings, committees and special events as requested.
  14. Compiles, maintains and distributes manuals and handbooks.
  15. Gathers and compiles class planning information for programs.
  16. Inputs and maintains registration website.
  17. Maintains and organizes facility usage for classes.
  18. Gathers and compiles data for program and state reports.
  19. Maintains and orders supply inventory for the department.
  20. Provides information and staff training on software programs and equipment.
  21. Prepares, administers and summarizes program evaluations and surveys.
  22. Assures compliance with federal and state regulations as well as district policies.
  23. Manages marketing including brochure development, website, promotes programs, specific events, and services.
  24. Participate in professional development as appropriate.
  25. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
