Communications Specialist/Worksite Adviser

Role description:

The successful candidate should have a track record of cultivating and maintaining strategic partnerships with employers and/or other stakeholders within a geographic territory. The position will be based in Atlanta, so this individual will need to live in or be willing to relocate to the Atlanta region.

As a communications specialist/worksite adviser, you will work to maintain existing and establish new relationships with employers as part of a broader regional effort to change commuter behaviors. In collaboration with an employer, the communications specialist/worksite adviser will utilize a range of outreach and educational tools to encourage employees to use modes of transportation other than single-occupancy vehicles. To that end, you will prepare and deliver presentations, engage worksites in modal promotions, help register employees for services, help implement new alternative commuter programs (e.g., telework), and track activities using salesforce.com.

Key attributes you should possess are the ability to be creative and resourceful, have a passion for sustainability, strong interpersonal skills, and work effectively both in groups and autonomously. In addition, strong organization, time management, strong ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines and attention to detail will be key factors to your success. Experience in the transportation space and/or transportation demand management (TDM) is a plus.

Role accountabilities:

The duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Deepen relationships with existing employer partners through frequent meetings, onsite events, and promotional activities
  • Increase program awareness and participation rates of existing employer partners
  • Generate new employer partners through networking, cold-calling, and other outreach efforts.
  • Monitor and report on activities using salesforce.com

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of communications experience, specifically in outreach and engagement
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the transportation space and/or transportation demand management (TDM)

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $61000 – $91000.
