Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

The Senior System Administrator/Manager is responsible for the management of all IT systems at a key Peraton facility hosting both unclassified and classified network environments.

The candidate is the primary technical point of contact (POC) for systems operation, maintenance and performance of an environment supporting over 300 personnel, and acts as the liaison with the Peraton enterprise and customer IT teams. Along with sustaining the current network environment, the candidate is responsible for providing research, recommendations, procurement, and implementation of IT assets as required for future initiatives and enhancement related to development and IRADs. This position is also responsible for asset management of both Peraton and customer furnished equipment.

The candidate will manage a team of systems administrator supporting development, test and production environments of multiple customer mission critical and essential programs. Management responsibilities include prioritizing, planning, and scheduling the day-to-day tasking required to sustain the high availability of hardware and networks that contribute to the success of the different programs at the Herndon facility. Candidate conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff and is responsible for the application of organizational policies.

Qualifications

BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+

Required Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge on Window workstation/servers, Exchange server, DNS, Linux, RedHat, CentOS, Solaris, VMware
  • Hardware knowledge with HP & Dell workstations and servers, thin clients, printers
  • Solid understanding of switches, routers, and other network devices
  • Minimum of 3 years working with Cisco switches
  • Experience with internal routing protocols, traffic isolation and QoS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently and with good time management and leadership skills
  • Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
  • Must be TS/SCI eligible with ability to pass a Polygraph

Desired Skills:

  • An approved IAM Level II Baseline Certification, such as CASP+ CE, CISSP, GSLC, etc…
  • Experience working with the DIA customer POCs when addressing IT issues and managing customer assets
  • Experience with the build out and accreditation of SCIFs

Range for Posting

Salary Minimum: $77,500
Salary Mid: $155,000
Salary Maximum: $193,800

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
