Cloud Operations Product Manager – Onsite/Hybrid in Charlotte, NC (Pune, India also acceptable)
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Position Overview:
The Product Manager (PM) is a member of the Cloud Operations products team, not a manager or a Team Lead; they are team members with specific roles and responsibilities. The PM is responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the team and ensuring that Cloud Operations product teams have a clear understanding of customer requirements and the associated business value. The PM must also create content that will be used for repeatable communication across all customers to drive understanding of concepts and adoption of offerings. The PM will also have to have a deep understanding of how Continuous Delivery (CD), Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud deployments, Container management and delivery.
The Product Owner is the content authority for the product backlog. They are ultimately accountable and responsible for the alignment of the product backlog with the priorities of the business and product strategy roadmap. The product backlog should have a health mix of stories (feature and enabler) that aligns with the product priority.
Product Owners are also a member of the extended Product Management function; they (POs’) are the team’s primary customer advocate and primary link to business and technology strategy. This unique view enables the team to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while continuously evolving the Solution.
Responsibilities
• Interact with all customers of Cloud Operations and understand where products need to go to drive business value
• Determine “what” goes into all Cloud Operations products
• Critical contributor and driver of the roadmap for Cloud Operations quarterly roadmaps
• Ensure that Roadmaps include both Functional and Non-functional items are accounted for in roadmap
• Ensure we have a readily available path to production that considerers and covers, compliance, security, operations and other common disciplines
• Clear vision for roadmap highlights (each with revenue potential and customer pipeline)
• Clear roadmap for 6 sprints
• Committed plan to delivered roadmap highlights
• List of customers pains and value adding elements
• Collect and owner, customer by customer Enhancements/features
• Learning the customers’ and market’s requirements
• Elicit and collect stakeholder requests
• Coach/ support development team’s questions and resolve conflict regarding features and requirements
• Deliver input for Product Owners
• Support roll-out of the system, presentation, workshops, training for sales and engineering
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Previous working experience as a Sr. Leader, with previous Team Mngt experience
• At least 5 or more years of experience working with software platform engineering tools (SDLC software tools) is absolutely required.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, and recent experience working with Agile hands-on
• Must currently reside in Charlotte, NC (or be willing to immediately relocate to Charlotte), or currently reside in Pune, India.
• Must be open to working at least 3 days onsite in Charlotte, NC office or Pune, India office
• Solid experience working with challenging client relationships
• Regularly conduct product presentations to audiences of 100-200 people, so much have solid experience in public speaking.
• Up to 50% travel, mainly domestic
• Excellent Presentation skills, as well as experience building a presentation ‘from scratch’
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
The salary range for this position is $116,900 to $210,400 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
