A little about us here at South Coast Community Services…For more than 30 years, SCCS has provided care, counseling, coaching, and essential mental health services for children, teen, young adults, and their families. As specialists in the field of mental health, SCCS employees possess diverse professional skills equipping us as a team to treat each client’s unique needs.
We have several monolingual and bilingual Mental Health Clinician – Therapist openings within our Success First program located in Colton, and Upland regions.
As a Bilingual Therapist/Clinician for our Success First Program , you will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients and families; including case management, education, de-stigmatization of mental health issues, and crisis intervention. Demonstrate high legal and ethical standards and operate from a culturally competent and strengths-based approach.
The Clinician will fulfill productivity requirements, comply with all documentation standards, and participate in an on-call rotation. You will also be responsible for outreach and engagement of the community, as well as facilitating small support and psychoeducational groups.
If necessary, the Clinician is responsible for coordinating Mental Health services and Link and Consultation services in a manner to ensure follow-through on a court-ordered service plan, IEP Mental Health Plans, or the development of a plan for families that are referred.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
PSY/LCSW/MFT preferred. If not licensed, active registration with the California BBS.
Valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
Clearance of our background check process, which includes fingerprinting and a physical/drug screen.
Completion of CPR/First Aid/ProACT certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
