Job Description & Requirements
The CityWalk Food Host/Hostess is responsible for excellence in guest satisfaction by interacting positively with all internal and external guests. Hosts will greet and coordinate all guest seating in a timely manner, keep dining and service areas clean at all times, and maintain a fun environment for our Margaritaville, Antojitos Cocina, Vivo, NBC Sports Grill, or Toothsome Chocolate Emporium venues.
Responsibilities:
- Moves with a sense of urgency by greeting and seating guests using an open table seating system, presenting menu to guests, and informing them of daily restaurant specials and promotions. Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience.
- Manage waiting list, server seating chart and table rotation and quote accurate wait times. Observe tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
- Clean, organize and stock menus at host area. Pre-bus tables as needed of used glassware, plate ware, silverware etc. Completes all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
- Maintain restrooms and keeps glass doors clean throughout the shift, sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently.
- Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
- Promote and provide extraordinary guest service for both internal and external guests; answer questions, offer information, and provide assistance in a courteous manner.
- Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices and ensure department standards are maintained and safety policies are upheld.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years older
- Valid California Food Handler required before first day
The pay rate for this role is $17.50.
