Citizens is looking for a Sr. Business Insights Analyst to join its high-growth Point of Sale business-Citizens Pay!
This business unit is a “FinTech in a bank”, a true innovator and game-changer in the payments and lending industry and is building a world-class organization of team members. As the Business Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for parsing complex data to deliver meaningful, actionable business insights and strategic guidance to our business partners. You will play an instrumental role in evaluating the impact of various services, products, and business initiatives through reporting and analytics to drive business improvement and opportunity. You will assist the Business Insights Manager by extracting and manipulating data to create quantitative analysis, reporting and presentation that visualizes the data into actionable insights that inform and provide recommendations on high-level decision-making and strategy. This role will require you to work cross -functionally to ensure information is accurately being captured and reporting goals/needs are achieved.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Provide analyses and reports to identify trends/insights and formulate recommendations that will influence business decisions. Create, synthesize, and present customized data requests, transforming data into a story that informs both high level strategy and tactical decision-making.
- Work with business leaders to identify and understand business needs. Translate needs into requirements and deliverables. Work with technical and development partners to deliver solutions based on requirements.
- Ensure accuracy of results and analytic methods through testing and validation of underlying report data. Ensure bias and data quality issues are resolved or explained when communication occurs.
- Identify business and optimization opportunities through analysis of large, complex data sets.
- Manage many priorities with minimal oversight. Plan and prioritize to hit deadlines in conditions that may change rapidly or involve ambiguity.
- Responsible to monitor, measure and communicate risks and opportunities associated with Citizens Pay portfolio.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-3 years or more professional experience in an analytical role
- Hands on experience with programming languages used for data analysis like R, Python or SAS .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial Services experience strongly preferred. Consumer lending preferred
- Ability to manage and develop ongoing client relationships.
- Project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with colleagues and clients in multiple departments.
- Experience with market research, analyzing consumer behavior, or consulting
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets
- Intermediate proficiency with numbers and analytics and experience in analyzing large amounts of data
- Ability to manage and develop ongoing client relationships
- Project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with colleagues and clients in multiple departments
- Experience with market research, analyzing consumer behavior, or consulting.
This is a hybrid position that will require 2-3 days in the office.
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F 8-5
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$150,000, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
