Position Description

As Child Support Officer you will Perform paralegal functions related to the establishment and enforcement of child support orders for public assistance and non-public assistance clients; locate absent parents; interview mothers and alleged fathers to establish paternity, explain rights and obligations and negotiate settlements; initiate necessary legal actions; work closely with the county attorney, judges, court administrators, child support magistrates, local attorneys, income maintenance and social service staff, employers, and a variety of other resource personnel; testify in court proceedings; and maintain all necessary and legal documentation. Hubbard County offers good pay and benefits. Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit for regular full-time employees accrues at the rate of 18 days per year for the first year; then 21 days per year for the second year of service through the fifth year; and continued increase with years of service.
