What will you be doing in your role?
- Assist clients in achieving short-term and long-terms goals to work towards early self-sufficiency and cultural integration.
- Your support case managers to provide services which may include:
- Provide transportation to ensure clients attend appointments, including but not limited to DPS office, public health department, social security administration, public benefits office, and other service providers.
- Assisting clients to apply public benefits, social security card, immunizations and school enrollments as needed.
- Assisting client with completing relevant forms and other documentation.
- Assist clients with language and culture interpretation with service providers.
- Accompany clients to service providers to assist with language interpretation, cultural communication, and assistance with forms and paperwork.
- Serve as link between Catholic Charities and refugee communities to increase awareness of program services.
- You collaborate with case managers to facilitate service delivery.
- You communicate client/case observations and concerns to case managers.
- You advocate for clients at service providers or agencies, and in the community.
- You cultivate positive relationships with relevant faith-based organizations, social service providers, and other community partners.
- You adhere to policies related to boundaries with clients.
- You report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.
Are you the next Case Aide?
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year experience in similar position OR a combination of education and experience
- Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license, and be willing to transport clients in personal vehicle.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Bilingual skills in a common client language are preferred.
