Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.
The Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfilment (CMOF) organization within CSCP manages manufacturing operations and fulfillment of IT hardware for Microsoft’s data centers worldwide. We are looking for a Business Operations Program Manager who will help manage critical Rhythm of Business (RoB) activities that keep our world-class organization functioning.
You will partner closely with the Director of Business Management to drive process improvements, executing on multiple tasks, projects and deliverables, driving impact and helping our team achieve high-quality results. This position requires a detail-oriented collaborator with great communication skills and an affinity for a rapidly evolving environment. This role will rely on extensive cross-group coordination, financial judgment, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. This individual should have a blend of planning, business management, communications, and program management skills to successfully support the Team.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 3+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Business Management IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $72,800 – $144,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $95,100 – $157,900 per year.

Responsibilities:
As a Business Operations Program Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist with the management of rhythm of business (ROB), including all-hands, staff meetings, business reporting, etc. to help the business run smoothly and effectively.
- Manage the monthly budget for the CMOF organization, tracking actuals to forecasted spend, analyzing metrics to support accountability, and ensure savings can be effectively re-allocated against core priorities.
- Optimize and evolve communication platforms to ensure effective messaging within the CMOF Leadership team, managers, and across all team members via SharePoint, organizational announcements, newsletters, and secure resources.
- Demonstrate discretion and professionalism on sensitive business and organizational issues, manage ambiguity, and propose workable solutions to challenging problems.
- Contribute to management of corporate strategy initiatives across functions by driving accountability for Objective and Key Results (OKR) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), supporting communications, and reporting to ensure alignment across groups.
- Partner with the People Team to help drive Organizational Health efforts on behalf of the CMOF Leadership team.
- Propose and establish enhanced business operation processes to drive accuracy, accountability, and scalable methods as our team grows.
- Contribute to cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment.
