Business Operations Analyst – Data, Valuations & Analytics

Data, Valuations, and Analytics (DVA) is a business line within S&P Global’s Market Intelligence division. DVA offers comprehensive and actionable company-level information, market data, reference data, valuation services, and derived analytics products across public and private markets.

The Business Operations Analyst will join the DVA Strategy & Business Performance Team. The Strategy & Business Performance team provides critical support, advisory and operations services to business and functional leaders on financial performance, competitive business and client intelligence, product portfolio management and complex cross-product, cross-functional initiatives.

The Business Operations Analyst is an outstanding collaborator who will partner with teammates and members of the global DVA team across geographies, as well as with partners in sales, technology, finance, People, and MI operations teams. The successful candidate will understand priorities, projects to be delivered, problems to be solved, processes to be improved, and balance those with day-to-day business operations activities. The ideal person for this role is highly organized, analytical, attentive to detail, communicative, has the ability to balance multiple priorities, grasp a strategic vision, take initiative, and execute effectively and efficiently.

This is an exciting role for someone who is interested in learning about all aspects of how a business operates. While some responsibilities will be consistent day-to-day/week-to-week, this is a dynamic role that entails hands-on involvement with a wide variety of high priority and time sensitive projects and initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:
• Support Strategy & Business Performance team on strategic initiatives and business as usual activities
• Play an instrumental role in delivering cross-DVA projects
• Coordinate with stakeholders and a variety of team members across functions to execute on central DVA priorities

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Business performance reporting

  • Understand reporting that is available centrally, i.e., from Finance, Sales Operations, MI Operations. Create transparency for leaders to help drive critical business decisions
  • Support weekly recruitment process and headroom reporting to drive workforce planning decisions
  • Quarterly KPI reporting
  • Support creation of DVA’s location strategy and progress reporting
  • Support creation of DVA’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy and progress reporting

• Strategy & business operations

  • Oversee DVA’s Sphere (internal intranet) site
  • Coordinate and create content for DVA-wide communications initiatives, such as town halls and monthly newsletters
  • Support Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Occasional presentation material for MI OpCo and S&P Global board meetings

• Business/client intelligence

  • Contribute as member of cross-functional project team to implementcentral DVA MIS to drive transparency for Leadership Team, Business Development and Sales leaders to create transparency around client health, improve client engagement and revenue upside
  • Support effort to identify opportunities to implement consistent client support best practices across DVA

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $44,200-87,825 based on experience. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
